WANTED
1/17/12
Looking for photos of:
Pierce Dash or D-8000 pumpers with 2-man coupe cabs. There are no jumpseats on these rigs and there is a small triangular window on the cab side. Not many were built as fire apparatus. Pierce used this cab on their utility line trucks and called it the "Fleet Arrow". They also had two with flatbed bodies and matching trailers that ferried parts between the factories in Appleton years ago, painted metallic blue. If anyone has shots of them, I'd love to see them.
AND
..of Seagrave MB (military) or Invader pumpers. There were 21 MB-23098's built for the US Navy and another 21 for the Marine Corps, all 1000/500/60F, all delivered in 1978 and 1979. In 1983, the Invader was introduced, slightly upgraded, but with the same boxy cab. There were 40 Invaders delivered between 1983 and 1987. Philadelphia had the largest fleet with a dozen in 1984 and three more in 1985.
