Detroit, Pittsfield, Newport and Plymouth Firefighters responded to the dwelling fire around 0800 hours and the Firefighter, Michael Snowman of Hartland, collapsed at the scene from a reported heart attack. he was immediately treated and then was taken to Sebasticook Valley Hospital, then transferred to Eastern Maine Medical Center where he died in the Line of Duty from an apparent heart attack. No one was at home at the time of the fire...the home was a total loss. A celebration of Mike's life with full Fire Department honors will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, at the Hartland Baptist Church, with the Rev. David Michaud officiating. Burial will follow at the family lot in Village Cemetery, Detroit. |
