Headquarters/Water Tower 2

60 Bristol St (now Paul Sullivan Way), South End. Built in 1894. Firehouse portion closed in 1950, HQ closed in 1951. Now the main building of the Pine Street Inn.

Department Shops

363 Albany St, South End. Built in 1885. Destroyed by fire in 1910 and rebuilt. Closed in 1951. Now occupied by the women’s shelter of the Pine Street Inn.

Boston Protective Dept

Not part of BFD (run by the insurance companies at the time).  It was the quarters for Protective 2 and Protective 2A.   It’s located at 4 Appleton St in the South End. Built in 1892. Closed in 1959, when the department was disbanded.

Torrent Engine 6, then Ladder 4, then Chemical 10

20 Eustis St, Roxbury. Built in 1859. Closed in 1916. Building was completely rehabbed/restored in 2010/2011.

Washington Hand Engine 3, then Hand/Horse Hose Co 1

114 Salem St, North End. Built in 1829. Closed in 1868.

Engine 9/Ladder 2/Car 1 60 Paris Street, East Boston - built in 1891, renovated 1930, closed in 1977
Engine 10, then H1 127 Mt. Vernon Street - built in 1949, closed in 1995
Hand Engine 14, then Engine 2, then Hose 12, then Ladder 19

715 East Fourth St, South Boston.  Built in 1857. Closed in 1932.
