Boston Fire Department has ordered 9 pumpers. The bid for the pumpers was awarded to E-One, all built to the specifications of the current pumpers in the fleet. They will be delivered 3 per fiscal year with the first 3 being completed by the end of June 2022, the next 3 by the end of June of 2023 and the final 3 by the end of June 2024. August 2022. In addition, the department will be sending Engine 1's 2009 E-One Typhoon out to be refurbished, which will become a spare after the new pumper is in service. The department has also ordered a Ford F-350 utility truck, a 16’ rescue boat, and a new SBA compressor.
