MAINE APPARATUS ORDERS AND FUNDING

Acton Fire Department has placed an order with Specialty Vehicles, Inc. for a Mack/Rosenbauer 3000 gallon tanker. The unit will feature a Hale pump, FoamPro class A foam system, 3/16” FX Aluminum body, Zico electric drop tank storage, enclosed ladder, hard suction and pike pole storage, a rear body swivel dump and Line-X blackout package. Dec 2020.

Allagash Fire Department has been awarded a Federal grant for a new pumper. CLICK FOR ARTICLE. July 2023.

Andover Fire Department has funding to purchase a new 2000 gallon tanker. Jul 2021.

Anson Fire Department has placed an order with 4 Guys for a pumper/tanker built on a Spartan chassis with MetroStar 4 door cab. Features include a stainless steel body, 1500 GPM pump and 2500 gallon water tank. Mar 2022.

Appleton Fire Department received funding to purchase a new tanker. Feb 2020.

Auburn Fire Department has on order a Pierce Enforcer 100' Ascendant Mid-Mount Tower with 2000 GPM pump. Delivery is scheduled for early 2025. Dec 2022.

Augusta Fire Department has placed an order with Northeast Emergency Apparatus for a new Ferrara Inferno pumper. Features include: Cummins 500 HP engine, 1750 GPM Waterous Pump, 1000 gallon poly water tank, and a 30-gallon foam cell. Aug 2022.

Bangor Fire has placed an order with Allegiance Fire/Rescue for a Pierce Enforcer PUC 1500/750 pumper. Sept 2023.

Bath Iron Works Fire Department has placed an order with Sugarloaf Ambulance/Rescue Vehicles for a 2021 Ford E-450 Type III PL Custom Medallion Ambulance for Rescue 1. This unit is as a demo and is the first new Ambulance in the Department’s History. This will replace the 2009 Ford Lifeline Ambulance. Delivery scheduled for middle of November 2022.

Bremen Fire Department has placed an order for a 2022 Freightliner M2-106 / Midwest 1000/3000 pumper/tanker. Delivery is expected in October of 2022. Jan 2022.

Bridgton Fire Department has placed an order with Lakes Region for a Ford F-550/HME Ahrens FOx mini EVO with 1500 GPM pump and 300 gallon water tank. December 2023.

Buxton Fire Department has been awarded a Federal grant in the amount of $428,571.43 for a Wildland Interface Firefighting Pumper. Sep 2021.

Corinna Fire Department has placed an order with Greenwood EV for an E-One pumper built on a commercial chassis. April 2024.

Dover-Foxcroft Fire has been approved funding to purchase a new tanker from Midwest Fire. Delivery is expected in July of 2024. CLICK FOR ARTICLE. Jan 2023.

Eddington Fire Department has placed an order with Greenwood Emergency Vehicles for an E-One custom pumper. Feb 2023.

Farmington has placed an order with Allegience Fire/Rescue for a Pierce Enforcer 1500/1000 pumper to replace Engine 2. Oct 2022.

Gardiner Fire Department has placed an order with Allegience Fire/Rescue for a Pierce Arrow XT 2000 GPM pumper with 1000 gallon water tank. Oct 2022.

Hollis Fire Department recently ordered a Spartan/Spencer pumper that is scheduled to be delivered sometime in early 2023. Nov 2022.

Kennebunk Fire Department has on order a Sutphen SPH100 2000/300/100' Midmount tower ladder. April 2023

Kennebunkport Fire Department has on order a Sutphen SPH100 2000/300/100' Midmount tower ladder. (same specs as the tower Kennebunk has on order). April 2023.

Lewiston Fire Department has placed an order with Allegiance Fire/Rescue for a Pierce Enforcer pumper with 1500 GPM pump and 750 gallon water tank. Oct 2022.

Levant voters approved funds to purchase a new rescue-pumper that will replace 2 pieces of apparatus. Nov 2022.

Lisbon voters approved funds to purchase two new pieces of apparatus. They will replace Engine 1's Pierce pumper, Engine 2's Freightliner tanker and Rescue 10's 2008 HME. No information at this time on which manufacturer will be building the new apparatus. Nov 2022.

Litchfield Fire Department has placed an order with Allegiance Fire/Rescue for a Pierce pumper/tanker built on a Freightliner chassis with 1000 GPM pump and 2100 gallon water tank. November 2023.

Livermore Fire Department has placed and order with Allegiance Fire & Rescue for a Pierce Saber 1500 GPM pumper with 1000 gallon water tank. Update: construction completed Oct 2023, delivery pending.

Newport Fire has placed an order with Greenwood Emergency Vehicles for an E-One custom pumper. June 2023.

Norridgewock Fire has placed an order with Allegiance Fire/Rescue for a Freightliner/Pierce Responder 1250/1000 pumper. June 2023.

North Berwick Fire Department has placed an order with Greenwood Emergency Vehicles for an E-One custom rescue pumper. May 2022.

North Yarmouth Fire Department has placed an order with Greenwood Emergency Vehicles for an E-One custom pumper. November 2023.

Norway Fire Department has placed an order with Allegiance Fire/Rescue for a Pierce Saber 1500/1000 pumper.

Oakland Fire Department has placed an order with Greenwood Emergency Vehicles for an E-One pumper built on a Freightliner chassis. Aug 2023.

Orrington Fire Department has placed an order with Greenwood Emergency Vehicles for a custom built E-One pumper/tanker. Aug 2022.

Paris Fire Department has received $410,666 to purchase a new pumper from Ferrara.

Portland Fire Department has placed an order with Allegiance Fire/Rescue for a Pierce Enforcer 100' MM Tower. Jul 2022.

Portland Fire Department has placed an order with Oshkosh for a new ARFF unit for the Jetport, which will replace Red 4. The unit will carry 1500 gallons of water, 200 gallons of foam, and feature a bumper turret and a 50 foot Snozzle HRET (High Reach Extendable Turret) with a piercing nozzle. April 2024.

Raymond Fire has placed an order with Allegiance Fire/Rescue for a Pierce Enforcer 1500 GPM PUC Rescue Pumper with 750 gallon water tank. Features include a front bumper designed to carry extrication tools, a built in winch, low speedlays over the pump house and rear trays for attack lines under the LDH hose storage. Oct 2022.

Rockport Fire Department has placed an order with Greenwood Emergency Vehicles for a Horton ambulance built on a Ford F-550 chassis. February 2024.

Sangerville Fire Department has on order a Rosenbauer pumper that will replace a 1975 Chevy pumper.

Skowhegan Fire Department has placed an order with Allegiance Fire/Rescue for a Pierce Saber 1250/2500 pumper/tanker.

South Berwick Fire Department has placed an order with Allegiance Fire & Rescue for a Pierce Enforcer 1500 GPM Heavy Duty Rescue Pumper. Jun 2022.

South Portland Fire Department has signed a contract with Pierce to build a Pierce Enforcer 100' Midmount Ascendent Tower. It will feature a 1500 GPM Waterous pump with 300 gallon water tank. Jan 2022.

South Portland has on order two ambulances from Braun. One is a remount of a 2016 box to a new Ford E-450 chassis and the 2nd a completely new unit also built on a Ford E-450 chassis. June 2023.

South Portland Fire has placed an order with Allegiance Fire/Rescue for a Pierce Enforcer 2000/750 pumper. Sept 2023.

South Thomaston Fire Department has placed an order with Greenwood Emergency Vehicles for an E-One light rescue built on a Ford F series chassis and a pumper/tanker built on an International chassis with 2 door cab. Aug 2022.

Sullivan has been approved funding to order a new tanker built by K and T on an International chassis. CLICK FOR ARTICLE. March 2023.

Van Buren Fire Department hsa placed an order with Allegiance Fire/Rescue for a Vengeant Sandstorm brush truck built on a Ford F-550 4X4 crew cab chassis. Features include a 7.3L gas engine, Vengeant patented flatbed body with customized storage boxes including between the frame rails storage, a Vengeant RipTide skid unit including a 300-gallon poly tank, hose reel with 200’ 1” hose, and a 20 HP Honda CET pump. The truck will be designated as Brush 7. Funds for the truck were provided through a Federal grant. May 2023.

Wesley Fire Department has been awarded a Federal grant to purchase a new brush truck. March 2023.

Order Update: West Gardiner's Freightliner/E-One tanker has been completed at the factory. Delivery to the department will take place after outfitting at Greenwood Emergency Vehicles.

Westbrook Fire Department has placed an order with E-One for a 100' RM Quint. Nov 2021.

Wilton Fire Department has ordered a new light rescue. No other info available.

Wiscasset Fire Department has placed an order with Allegiance Fire/Rescue for a Pierce Saber 1500/1000 pumper. Aug 2023.

Yarmouth Fire Department has placed an order with Greenwood Emergency Vehicles for an E-One custom pumper. January 2024.

York Village Fire Department has placed an order with Allegiance Fire/Rescue for a Ford F-550/Pierce mini pumper with 1250 GPM pump and 300 gallon water tank. Sept 2023.




2024 MAINE APPARATUS DELIVERIES (New and Used)

Acton Fire Department has taken delivery of a 2023 Mack/Rosenbauer 1500/3000 for Tanker 3. Posted in February.

Buxton Fire Department has taken delivery of a 2024 Freightliner/Pierce 1250/750 for Engine 417. Posted in April.

Fryeburg Rescue has taken delivery of a 2023 Ford E-450/PL Custom ambulance. Posted in January.

Kittery Fire Department has taken delivery of a 2024 KME Severe Service heavy rescue for Rescue 3. Posted in February.

Lisbon Fire Department has taken delivery of a 2024 Chevy 3500/Road Rescue 4X4 ambulance for Medic 8. Posted in March.

Naples Fire Department has taken delivery of a 2023 HME Ahrens Fox 1871w 1500/1000/30F for Engine 5. Posted in January.

Portland Fire Department has acquired a 2007 Spartan/Hackney rescue for HazMat 1. It previously served in Brunswick. Posted in April.

Rumford Fire Department has taken delivery of a 2023 Dodge Ram 5500 4X4 light rescue for Rescue 1. Posted in March.

Scarborough Fire Department has placed into service a 2023 Ford F-150 XL as Car 7, the shift commander's vehicle. Posted in March.

Sedgwick Fire Department has placed into service a 1995 Freightliner FL70 walk-in rescue as Rescue 1. It previously served in Old Forge, NY. Posted in January.

South Portland Engine 42's 2002 Spartan/Hackney 1000/500 and Engine 49's 1992 International 4900/National/Ferrara 1250/750/250F have been placed out of service and will be retired. The new Pierce Enforcer 105' quint is scheduled to be delivered in May. It will be assigned to Ladder 45, with the current Ladder 45 being reassigned to Ladder 42. The current Ladder 42 will become Ladder 41. Posted in April.

West Gardiner Fire Department has taken delivery of a 2023 Freightliner/E-One 1250/2000 with 2-door cab for Engine 1. Posted in February.

Windsor Fire Department has taken delivery of a 2024 Freightliner M2-112/E-One 1000/3000 tanker for Tanker 3. Posted in February.

Woodstock Fire Department has purchased a 1997 Simon Duplex/LTI 102’ Tower for Ladder 2. It previously servedin Parsippany, NJ. Posted in January.

Woodstock Fire Department has taken delivery of a 2023 Freightliner/Midwest 4X4 1250/1250/20F for Engine 1. Posted in February.
